What is CCX?
CCX is a cloud-native platform that allows you to deliver fully-managed MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Valkey and SQL Server on Linux on self-deployed infrastructure.
How is CCX different than ClusterControl?
ClusterControl automates database operations across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments, including supported Kubernetes deployments. Your team uses it to deploy, monitor, back up, recover and scale databases, with capabilities depending on the database engine and deployment model.
CCX provides a ready-made DBaaS platform for delivering managed databases to internal developers or external customers. It combines self-service provisioning, tenant management and operational automation, with a control plane running in your Kubernetes cluster and database workloads provisioned on supported infrastructure.
Choose ClusterControl to operate your database estate or build your own service layer around its automation. Choose CCX to deliver a database service using a ready-made platform on your infrastructure. CCX Cloud is the separate service fully managed by Severalnines.
