We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer who’s passionate about cloud-native system design and scalability. You will work directly with a senior development team to build and maintain our cloud-based platform (PaaS) allowing everyone to deploy datastores to many different public clouds (DBaaS).
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Golang/ Python, Bash
- Knowledge of public clouds GCP, AWS
- Mastery in container orchestration in Kubernetes (K8s Operators)
- Knowledge of cloud-based / cloud-native systems
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, cloud-init)
- Experience with managing databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL)
- Experience with Linux OS administration
- Experience with networking (load balancers such as Ngnix and HAProxy)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus,...)
- Nice to have experience:
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud-native environments
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Github Actions, Teamcity,...)
- Experience with Openstack, HashiCorp stack
Responsibilities:
- Design, lead implementation and operational support of the infrastructure in a public cloud space (GCP, AWS) using Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code
- Maintain and improve pre-build images
- Maintain and improve monitoring/ logging/ traceability of services to ensure capacity, security and availability of our services through SLI and SLO
- Troubleshoot issues in test and production environments
- Owns and sets expectations of day to day infrastructure related work
- Collaborates with a team to prevent and shorten production incidents
- Implement support of applications in public and private Kubernetes infrastructures
- Design and implement next generation applications using Operators
